ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Professor Dr. Frederick Yap

He started his first company at the age of 28 in IT and software businesses. 2 years later, in 1993, "Card Connection International Pte Ltd" (CCI) was established as an international loyalty card program in Singapore and Frederick was the first Asian to franchise such card programs internationally.

After a short span of 1 year, CCI started franchising in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. Another year later, CCI was franchised to the USA and 28 European countries. By 1996, CCI was in 34 countries with more than 40,000 merchants offering discounts and privileges to more than 10.5 million members worldwide.

For the past 20+ years, Professor Dr. Frederick Yap has devoted much of his life to encouraging successful businesses. He has founded many companies in various trades and industries, mainly in cards, franchises, IT, education, golf, F&B, publication, tourism, web and app development. With such diversified business experience and overseas connections, Frederick was appointed by the ASEAN Retail-Chains & Franchise Federation (ARFF) to form ARFF Singapore in 2010. During their five years as Founding President of ARFF Singapore, Frederick was involved in ARFF annual awards and franchise expo. He single-handedly organized the ASEAN Tourism Summit 2013 held in Hainan, China.

In 2014, Frederick founded International Business Federation (IBF) and Singapore China Business Federation organized the SG50 TOP Business Awards 2015 awarding more than 200 SMEs in Singapore and the Asia TOP Business Awards cum Charity Gala Dinner 2016 awarding more than 150 companies from 17 countries in Asia.
